Now Hiring: 2026 trail crew 

:We are looking for hardworking, self-motivated individuals to join our Trail Crew for the 2026 season! If you love the Kimberley trail network and don't mind getting a little dirt under your fingernails, we want to hear from you.

Supported by the Columbia Basin Trust, our local sponsors, and our Trail Pass holders, this role is essential to keeping our world-class backyard safe, rideable, and sustainable.

The Details
  • Term: Full time, Late April – End of October.
  • The Office: The beautiful forests surrounding Kimberley, BC.
  • The Perks: Working outdoors, building legacy trails, and the best lunch spots in town. All tools and equipment are provided.
  • The Pay: $22+ depending on experience 
What You’ll Be Doing: You won't just be raking leaves. Your daily tasks will include:
  • Technical Work: Fallen tree removal, reroutes, and new builds.
  • Maintenance: General upkeep, safety inspections, and trail updates.
  • Community: Supporting volunteer initiatives and being an ambassador for KTS.
  • Forest Gastronomy: Mastering the art of the "forest lunch" daily.
Who You Are: We need someone who can work independently and make smart decisions on the fly. While we provide the tools, the following are major assets:
  • Local Knowledge: You know your way around the Kimberley Trail system.
  • Trail Skills: Prior experience with trail building techniques.
  • Grit: You are physically fit and ready for demanding outdoor labor.
  • Mobile: You must have reliable transportation to and from various job sites.
